What is Electroforming?
Electroforming is a process where copper (also can use silver or gold) is deposited onto organic/inorganic material. This is done by passing a current from the metal to be deposited (anode) through the object it will be placed on (cathode). Depending on the size of the object and desired thickness of metal coating, this can take anywhere from 18-24 hours to a few days. All of my copper electroformed pieces are protectively coated to help prevent oxidation.
The beauty of Electroforming is that you are never certain exactly how it will come out.
